Abstract:

Speed up the breeding process on good plant type, excellent quality, strong disease resistance, high yield of sun-cured tobacco varieties for suitable local cultivation. The ‘Longyan 2’ was in control, tobacco varieties ‘Xingzi’, ‘Dongfeng 1’, ‘Nong’an narrow leaf’, ‘Nong’an broad leaf’ and ‘Muxi 9712’ were selected for comparative experiment. The results revealed that: smaller leaf angle, ideal plant type and resistant red star disease in ‘Muxi 9712’ with Output 3331.40 kg/hm2, reached to the significance level, income reached extremely significant level. ‘Xingzi’ was that high resistance of disease index of red star in 1.44, yield increased by 15% and income increased by 17.3%. Therefore ‘Xingzi’, ‘Muxi 9712’ were suitable for locally grown varieties. ‘Dongfeng 1’, ‘Nong’an narrow leaf’ having higher disease resistance, can be considered as crossing parents.
