Abstract:
Urban green space can contain rich flora that contribute significantly to biodiversity. The connectivity provided by habitat network in urban green spaces offers both habitats and corridors that improve conservation of biodiversity. The conception and theory of habitat network was presented, the necessity of the habitat network construction in greens system was elaborated. With the case study of Yuyao City in Zhejiang Province, the isolation of native habitats due to urban sprawl threatens biodiversity conservation was analyzed. Base on the assessment the current green situation, the plan of the urban green system and the city center green system based on different range was researched in the case, and the method and strategies about the habitat network were elaborated, but helped to identify the relative significance of each green space and guide urban planning.
