Abstract:

In order to understand the growth status of Magnolia multiflora manmade plants community for ecological restoration at the slope engineering of the expressway from Changde to Jishou, based on the analysis of Hegyi single tree competition index model, Shannon-Wiener and Shoener formula, the population competition intensity and niche breadth and niche overlap of Magnolia multiflora manmade plants community were calculated. The results indicated that: the competitiveness of Magnolia multiflora had a positive correlation to DBH, and its competitive was bigger than Robinia pscudoacacia and Ligustrum quihou. The original Pinus massoniana had been dead. The value order of niche breadth was Magnolia multiflora>Robinia pscudoacacia>Ligustrum quihou, with the values of 2.271, 2.147, 2.088. The largest niche overlap was 0.793 between Magnolia multiflora and Robinia pscudoacacia; and the smallest was 0.632 between Magnolia multiflora and Ligustrum quihou. Magnolia multiflora could adapt to the slope environment, species being eliminated because weak competitiveness could not be mixing planted with Magnolia multiflora.
