Abstract:
Toxic effect and mechanism of Microcystin (MC) on fish had became a hotspot in environment toxicology. This review included the effects of fish exposed to MC; the relationship between structure and toxic effect; the routs that MC would be absorbed by fish; two kinds of potential mechanisms that MC induced toxic effect on fish. Enormous toxic researched on MC have been done to indicate that intestinal tract might be the most potential rout that MC was absorbed by fish; MC induced oxidative stress on fish, surplus reactive oxygen species (ROS), as a second messenger, and/or MC could inhibited protein phosphatases 1 and 2A which have important role of cell signaling. Special anti-oxidation and endogenesis anti-oxidation were involved by novel research aspects of mechanism on oxidative stress.
