Abstract: In order to study the effect of buddlings with different rootstocks on girth growth and tapping tree percentage, the growth of four kinds of polybag plants classed and selected from the batch of budlings and mini-seedling budling (polybag plant) according to rootstock size and its latex in the immature period were investigated in this study. The results showed that: there were significantly different among the scion diameter of five sorts of polybag plants when those were planted and no significantly different before tapped. The girth growth rate of small and unselected polybag plants was relative quick. The tapping tree percentage of unselected polybag plants was the lowest among five budlings planted seven years ago, and it reached the standard for open tapping. The girth growth of all the budlings increased regularly and fitted the same linear equation. Those indicated that classing and selecting of the budling of Hevea brasiliensis before planted was beneficial to enhance of the tapping tree percentage and girth growth of young rubber tree showed linear increase.
