Abstract: To investigate the species of pathogens and their drug resistance in mink population, pathogens isolated from livers of dead minks were identified and the resistance to antibiotics and Chinese medicine was detected. The results demonstrated that 21 bacteria strains which belonged to 8 species (Aerococcus viridans, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Hafnia alvei, Pantoea agglomerans, Salmonella paratyphoid, Shigella flexneri and Yersinia enterocolitica) were identified. More than 50% of pathogens were resistant to streptomycin, erythromycin, penicillin and achromycin, and 100% of them were sensitive to cefoxitin, cefepime and ceflazidime. About 30% of them were resistant to Coptis chinensis and Golden cypress, and 14% of them were resistant to compound Chinese medicine. The results could provide information for the prevention and treatment.
