Path Design for the Industrialization of Strawboard Industry Based on the Triple Helix Theory

Abstract: China is blessed with abundant crop straw resources. The strawboard industry in China as a new environmental friendly wood- based panel industry is using straw as its raw materials. Meanwhile, the industrialization of the strawboard industry has important and practical significance, since it not only solves the problems of the open-air burning of crop straw which causes resource waste and environmental pollution, but also alleviates the contradiction between supply and demand of timber. As a result, the strawboard industry has attracted much attention from all parties. In this study, the authors started from the present situation of the industrialization of the strawboard industry in China, and analyzed supporting conditions and unfavorable factors of the industrialization of crop strawboard industry. Based on the triple helix theory, this study aimed at some problems existing in the process of industrialization of the strawboard industry, and put forward path design for the industrialization of the strawboard industry from the perspective of government, enterprises and research institutions in China. Research shows that the rapid development of the industrialization of strawboard industry depends on the collaboration of the enterprise, government and research institutions, which should play their respective advantages. On the basis of mutual cooperation, the three parties could build innovative and collaborative platform through the convergence of capital, policy and talent advantage together.
