Abstract:

To research the influence of total flavonoids from honeysuckle on Contraction Function of the heart. Using technology that the isolated frog hearts were perfused, then by the BL-420F experimental system with biological function, the effect of total flavonoids from honeysuckle on contraction function of the toad heart in vitro was been observed. The conclusion of study had indicated that higher concentrations（2mg.ml-1）of total flavonoids extract in honeysuckle could stop the heart suddenly, and to perfused the toad heart in vitro with lower concentrations(2×10-1~2×10-6mg.mL-1), the heart rate and myocardial tension was both dropped. T test showed that heart rate was been reduced significantly (P<0.05) and it could reduce myocardial tension very significantly (P<0.01). This study showed that total flavonoids extract from honeysuckle could inhibit the contraction function of isolated toad heart in vitro.
