Abstract:

The antioxidateve activity of crude polysaccharides was determined by the capacity of scavenging 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical after dried roselle calyx was extrated by hot-water and ethanol precipitation. The results showed that the crude polysaccharides had better antioxidative activity and in the concentration range of 0.551 ~ 2.150 mg/mL had a good linear relationship: y=28.7684x+39.43208, R=0.973.
