Abstract:

To understand the ecology distribution of soil fauna and the impact of rocky desertification upon the community structure of soil animals along Dingtan, Boluo and Shiqiao in Guizhou Province, the soil fauna and the part of chemistry factor of soil were investigated in August 2008. The results show that in these area there are rich soil animals species which dominanted by the arthropod species. Ponerinae, Oribatida and Oppiidae are dominant groups. With the rising of latitude, species numbers, individual numbers and group numbers of soil animals were increasing. The differences of soil fauna in the level distribution is closely related to the degree of habitats intervened and the ecological differences of rocky desertification controlling, and soil animals trend gathering to the surface of soil in the vertical distribution. In addition, there are a negative relationship about species number, individual numbers of soil animal and contents of pH, TN, TP and OM in 0~5 cm soil layer. Therefore, the distribution of soil fauna and relationship between soil animal and environment should be further investigated in varied karst environment.
