Abstract:

To examine the effect of cultured models on growth and yield of freshwater pearl mussel, an enclosure experiment was carried out in Tongzhuanghe River. a natural water- body,in the Three Gorge Reservoir Region and in the aquiculture ponds Gongan Country,Hubei Province. At the start and end of the enclosure experiment, shell length, total weight of the pearl mussel was measured. The quality indexes TN, TP of the water body and Hyriopsis cumingii tissue was analyzed. The results showed that The quality indexes TN , TP of the water body had certain influence to the Hyriopsis cumingii growth,In the Hyriopsis cumingii tissue's TN, TP and in water environment's TN, TP didn't have the relevance. Used low density cultivation models cultured pearl in big water surface not only increases the economic efficiency, but also may use the primary productive forces in the water body fully.
