Abstract:

In order to understand the effects of potassium fertilizer on the physiological characters of Hevea brasiliensis seedlings and promote rational applying potassium fertilizer in cultivation of Hevea brasiliensis, the author explored the content changes of chlorophyll and the soluble protein under low potassium stress by means of hydroculture and analyzed the correlations between the chlorophyll contents and the growing indices of Hevea brasiliensis seedlings. The results indicated that the potassium deficiencies decreased contents of the chlb and the soluble protein, seldomly changed contents of chla and increased ratios of chla/chlb. The analysis of correlation indicated the biomasses of the different organs, root length, plant height and stem girth were positively correlative with the chla and chlb, but negatively correlative with the ratio of chla/chlb. So the low potassium stress decreased the physiological metabolism of the leaves and restrained the growing of the Hevea brasiliensis seedlings.
