Abstract:

Using hydride generator atomic fluorescence spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), 104 feed and 56 feces samples collected from 56 different areas pig farms in Fujian province, which were measured the concentrations of arsenic (As). The results showed that, 12 samples were tested the cncentrations of arsenic more than 2 mg?kg-1, the average over standard rate 11.54%, with the most severe contamination was Zhangzhou. The higher arsenic pollution between different scale pig farms and different types of feed of which were small-scale pig farms and piglet feed, with the over standard rate 13.79% and17.39%. 9 in 12 tested more than 2 mg?kg-1 feed samples were premixed by the additives from others Province, with the rate21.59%. Only 1 feces sample collected in a Longyan moderate pig farms, which was tested the cncentrations of arsenic at 102.4mg?kg-1, more than 30mg?kg-1, with the over standard rate 1.79%.
