Abstract:

The study aimed to explore the salt resistant ability of Malus robusta Rehd. and provide the scientific basis for exploitation and utilization of Malus robusta Rehd. plants in saline-alkali land. The effects of different NaCl solutions on the growth and physiological indexes of Malus robusta Rehd. plants under sand-cultured were studied. The results showed that: with the increase of NaCl concentration, the shoot height, the stem diameter, the water content and the content of chlorophyll decreased continuously; MDA content and soluble sucrose increased; proline were declining at first and then increasing later, showing gently changes. The salt tolerant threshold and survival threshold of Malus robusta Rehd. plants was both deduced as 0.6% by observing visual form and analyzing physiological index.
