Abstract:

A simulation experiment was carried out to increase sandy soil’s saturated water contents. We designed the improved material which was made of straw, bentonite and PAM, and investigated the effects of different improved material, the content of PAM in improved material and the cultivated time. The results indicated that: the saturated water contents of sandy soil increased in the presence of improved material, and would be different with different improved materials, and also increased with the content of improved material, PAM (< 2%) and the cultivated time (< 60 days) approximately. Compared with the others, the treatments amended by wheat straw (the amount was 10 g/kg, the proportion of PAM was 2%), with 60 days cultivated time, its saturated water contents became 52.6% (2.32 times as the control), showed the optimal results.
