Abstract:

In order to widely distributed different DNA molecular markers have been used in yellow catfish. In this review, the principles, potential power, advantages and disadvantages of the various DNA molecular marker types were discussed, along with their applications in yellow catfish. Furthermore, the existing problems and prospect of DNA molecular marker application in yellow catfish were also analyzed in detail. And some suggestions about studies on DNA molecular markers are given to protect and reasonable use genetic resources of yellow catfish.
