Abstract:
In order to find out the optimal NO3- concentration of strawberry seedling in nutrient solution, using the ‘Sweet’ strawberry to do the experiment, the study with nutrient solution has been done to investigate the effects of different NO3- concentration on growth and photosynthetic characteristics in strawberry seedling. Five different NO3- concentrations at 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 mmol/L were designed. The results indicated that the plant height, the second functional leaf area from the growing point, dry weight of stem and leaf, dry weight of root, pigment content, net photosynthesis rate of strawberry seedling increased with NO3- concentration ranging from 0-15 mmol/L, while decreased in the treatment of 20 mmol/L NO3-. Compared with 0 mmol/L NO3-, the treatment of 15 mmol/L NO3- enhanced the contents of soluble sugars, vitamin C, soluble proteins and allicin by 150.73%, 285.68%, 145.67%, 272.03%, 131.54% and 153.46%, respectively, in strawberry seedling.
