The upper reaches of Minjiang River lies in the upper reaches of Yangtze River, northwest of Sichuan province, and serves as one of the important ecological barries for the Yangtze River and the major water supplying area to Chengdu plain. However a series of ecologica environment problems have emerged because of the particular natural condition, massive lop and reasonless utilization of vegetation in recent decades. It no only has brought about many-side harm to soil, land and water resources, but also has formed a serious threat to the ecological environment. The serious ecologica environment problems has hindered the continuable social and economic development in the region. So, ecological agriculture is the outcome of the economic development and protection of the ecological environment in the upper reaches of Yangtze River. This paper, on the basis of latest survey data, analysed the background, current situation and features of the eco-agriculture in this region.
