Abstract:

This paper discussed the regional differentiation law of rural house and its effects on rural housing land use. In the basis of rural household survey and analysis of historical development for rural house’ function, it was found that the function and form of rural house was dissimilar in different development phase. The results showed that the main feature of rural house was possessing the function of both producing and living at present whose formation was strongly connected with the social and economic development especially for small-peasant economy. Due to the unbalanced development of regional economy and the deepening of professional division, the function combining degree of producing and living varied from different regions. Along with the increase of social and economic development, the producing function of rural house will be weaken and the rural housing land use would be intensified. In addition, the ratio of producing area to living area in rural housing land showed significant linear relationship with rural housing area which could be utilized to calculate the standard of rural housing area.
