Abstract:

In order to verify and define the agricultural possibility of the paper sludge, the sludge was processed by an industrial method of producing fertilizer. The results showed that, the organic-inorganic compound fertilizer could meet the quality requirements. After the fertilizer was applied to the corn, the parameters from physiological characteristics and growth period of the corn to soil physical and chemical properties were all improved. By comparing the results from three treatments (conventional fertilizer, no fertilizer, organic and inorganic fertilizer), the following conclusions were obtained: (1) after a safe dispose, the paper sludge could be treated as an organic raw material. The organic-inorganic fertilizer products were conformed to the national standard (GB 18877-2002), which could be popularized a larger area. (2) In the premise of equal pure nutrients, the organic-inorganic fertilizer made of paper sludge applied in the corn was better than the treatment of conventional fertilizer in term of promoting the mature period earlier. In addition, the former could make the plant height taller, the grain number per ear more and the weight of 100-kernel heavier, the yield much more, but the barren tip length shorter than the latter. (3) The organic-inorganic fertilizer made of paper sludge could not only improve the physical properties of soil and the preservation of soil moisture, but also increase the contents of soil organic matter, total N, P, K and available N, P, K effectively.
