Abstract:

Based on Sino-US co-authored articles collected by science citation index expanded database (SCI-EXPANDED), this paper elaborated the general pattern and main characteristics of Sino-US international collaboration in fisheries from 1980 to 2010. Comprehensive analysis and comparison were made from the perspectives of the amount of papers, research subjects, the institutions, authors, in order to reveal the current state of Sino-us fishery cooperation and its future prospects, with a general aim to provide scientific reference for future policy and countermeasures formation and development in fishery international cooperation.
