Abstract:
To study the effects of amendments saline soil improvement, the field trial with 10 treatments of different soil amendments as well as fertility betterment was conducted on condition of saline water irrigation. In this experiment the effects of amendments and fertility betterment on soil physical and chemical properties, nutrient status and wheat yields were analyzed. The results showed that, the amendment and fertility betterment decreased bulk density, increased soil permeability coefficient and capillary porosity, reduced soil pH and total salt content. Meanwhile, the content of organic matter, available phosphorus and available potassium in soil was increased, but the content of alkali-hydrolysis nitrogen of all treatments were lower than CK. The amendment and fertility betterment increased wheat yields. The results suggested that, treatment 4 (vinegar residue + cattle manure + gypsum + organic fertilizer) and treatment 5 (vinegar residue + cattle manure + gypsum + organic fertilizer + inorganic fertilizer) had the best effect on improved soil physical and chemical property, increased soil nutrient and wheat yields, it was a good choice to make full use of brackish water and improve saline soil.
