Abstract:

Four spring soybean varieties were treated by 0.5% EMS (methyl sulfonic acid ethyl ester) solution, and genetic variations of the main agronomic characters in M2 and M3 were analyzed and compared. The results showed that, each generation agronomic characters all happened some degree variation, compared with M2. Among the characters of M3, the average genetic variation coefficient of plant height, branches, seeds per plant, seed weight per plant and 100-seed weight were less, main stem nodes were greater and pods per plant were well-matched, but this trend was different in between varieties. The earlier or the late plants were observed in each generation, the total maturity mutation proportion of M2 and M3 were 43% and 38%, the total maturity mutation proportion of each varieties from high to low was ‘Heihe43’ (0.71%) > ‘Beidou5’ (0.63%) > ‘Hefeng50’ (0.57%) > ‘Hefeng55’ (0.53%) in M2 and ‘Beidou5’ (0.64%) > ‘Heihe43’ (0.5%) > ‘Hefeng55’ (0.25%) > ‘Hefeng50’ (0.22%) in M3 , this showed the variation that maturity mutation proportion to M3 had reduced.
