Abstract:
To promote improvement of detection efficiency, the method was investigated for the simultaneous determination of arsenic and mercury in marine sediments with microwave digestion by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The influence of instrument parameters and digestive system were optimized. 15 g/L KBH4 was selected as reducing agent. The influence of NO2- was avoided by 200 g/L amido-sulfonic acid. The results showed that, two elements exhibited good linearity and the regression coefficients were all over 0.999. The developed method showed limits of detection of 0.02 mg/kg for arsenic, 0.002 mg/kg for mercury and relative deviatiaons of 2.63% for arsenic, 2.84% for mercury. The improved method, its simplicity, rapidity and accuracy had good suitability for the simultaneous determination of arsenic and mercury in marine sediments.
