Abstract:

In order to study the effect and the control of ethylene on the coloration of Anthurium andraeanum Spathe, the content of anthocyanin and total flavonoid was detected at five different concentrations of ethephon treatment in Anthurium andraeanum Spathe by means of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with direct injection and gradual elution .The result showed that the anthocyanin of Anthurium andraeanum ‘Arizona’ was mainly composition of cyanidin-3-o-rutinoside chloride. The content of anthocyanin and total flavonoids was accumulated by ethephon induced and the concentration of 600 mg/L treatment was the optimal. The peak of the content of anthocyanins and total flavonoids was appeared in the expand period while the peak of control was appeared in flowering stage by the peaks were 3496.7581 μg/g and 5088.3177 μg/g, which was higher than the control peak by 56.9% and 59.0% respectively.
