Abstract:

In order to analysis the effects of different plant growth retardants (BAS、CCC、PP333) and concentrations on Phalaenopsis flowering, two varieties with high peduncle were selected as the research materials in this paper. The result showed that: (1)paclobutrazol (PP333) with different concentrations could reduce the height of Phalaenopsis peduncle effectively, 8-9 cm for the variety ‘Red Swan’ and 5-6 cm for the ‘New Red Dragon’. BAS and CCC had no significant effect on peduncle height. (2)Three kinds of plant growth retardants with different concentrations had inhibitive effect to the length and numbers of flower ‘Red Swan’, BAS and CCC were positive to the length of ‘New Red Dragon’. (3)The time of ‘New Red Dragon’ flowering were moved ahead after three varieties of plant growth retardants treatments, but for the variety of ‘Red Swan’, BAS delayed flowering after treatments. (4)Three kinds of plant growth retardants with different concentrations had no effect on flower diameter.
