Abstract:

In order to investigate the growth responses of different Fraxinus chinensis at saline-alkali habitats. The root vigor, protective enzyme abilities, and contents of malonyldiadehyde, osmotic regulation substances and chlorophyll in the Fraxinus chinensis leaves were determined to evaluate the stress tolerance of six superior clones by factor analysis. The results showed that the contribution rate of accumulative variance of the two common factors extracted from factor analysis was 90.85%, and it showed that all information of the original five observations could be reflected more than 90% by the two common factors. Besides, from the calculating of weight value, it was known that the comprehensive scores of six superior clones of Fraxinus chinensis were all greater than the ‘Rong-1’, showing good stress tolerance, and the score of ‘Lula-2’ was highest, followed by ‘Lula-3’. The results indicated that all of six clones had stronger inverse-resistance in comparison to the control, native Fraxinus chinensis cv. ‘Rong-1’, among which the variety ‘Lula-2’ was the best one.
