Abstract:

The ber fruit fly, Carpomya vesuviana Costa, was one of the most important quarantine pest causing considerable economic losses of jujube plant in the world. In order to assess the potential risk analysis (PRA) of C. vesuviana to different regions in Shaanxi Province and develop quarantine countermeasures, the PRA of this pest in the three geographic regions of Shaanxi Province were analyzed and assessed, according with international pest risk analysis methods, which based on distribution of the jujube plant in these regions. The results showed that the risk (R) values of the pest in north of Shaanxi, Guanzhong Region, south of Shaanxi were 2.239, 2.065 and 1.469, respectively. Therefore, the ber fruit fly was a highly dangerous pest in north of Shaanxi and Guanzhong region and a low dangerous pest in south of Shaanxi. In view of above results in three regions, the quarantine countermeasures were proposed to prevent introduction and spread invading of ber fuit fly in Shaanxi.
