Abstract: In order to select suitable Lycium varieties for cultivating in dry sand land in arid and semiarid region of Gansu Province and northwest China, 10 varieties of Lycium were introduced from Ningxia and Inner Mongolia, and their cultural contrast tests were carried out. Using evaluation method of reasonable-satisfaction and multidimensional value theory combination rules, the vegetative growth indices of height, ground diameter, crown width and branch number of young tree of each variety were conducted quantitative comparison. The results showed that: Ningqi No.5 performed best on vegetative growth in juvenile period, next was Mengqi No.1 and Bianguogouqi, all of them could be varieties of ecological function for popularizing in dry sand land.
