The Antimicrobial Activity of 5 kinds of Mangrove Fungi in Rhizosphere soil and Endophytic Fungi

Abstract: In order to obtain the new antibacterial compounds from the marine fungi, the antibacterial activities on the secondary metabolites of the medicinal mangrove rhizosphere soil of symbiotic fungi and endophytic fungi were tested. The secondary metabolites of marine fungi were tested 6 sensitive bacteria by the disc diffusion method according to its antibacterial circle diameter. 50 strains of fungi were isolated from the mangrove plants, Aegiceras corniculata, Kandelia candel, white lotus, Bruguiera cylindrica and Acanthus ilicifolius. The secondary metabolites of 16 fungi showed antibacterial activity, 30.77% of the total fungi, and the highest antibacterial activity of Staphyloccocus aureus reached to 32% . Accoding to the study, the secondary metabolites of HGC-MT3-A, HGC-LT3-A and HGC-QJ1-A, HGC-MT3-A, HGC-LT3-A, HGC-QJ1-A, HGC-TY3-A showed strong antibacterial activity for E.coli, Micrococcus luteus, White staphylococcus and Bacillus subtilis respectively. The secondary metabolites of HGC-QJ1-A, HGC-QY2-A, HGC-MT3-A, HGC-TY3-A, HGC-LT3-A and HGC-TT22-A1 showed strong sterilization effect respectively to Staphyloccocus aureus, Micrococcus luteus, White staphylococcus and Bacillus subtilis; the bactericidal concentration of HGC-LT3-A and HGC-TT22-A1 to White staphylococcus were 25 mg/mL; the bactericidal concentration of HGC-MT3-A and HGC-TT22-A1 to E.coli respectively was 1.56 mg/mL and 3.125 mg/mL. The secondary metabolites of symbiotic fungi and endophytic fungi from the medicinal mangrove plants and rhizosphere soil were important resources of novel antibiotic compounds.
