State-owned Forest Ecosystem Service Value in Jianyang and Impact on Regional Ecological Security

Abstract

Abstract: In order to improve people’s awareness of the value of state-owned forest ecosystem, the reasonable development and utilization of forest resources, make state- owned forest ecological compensation standard, based on the theory and methods of ecology and ecological economics, the valuation of the state-owned forest ecosystem services in Jianyang was estimated. Also from the perspective of ecosystem service, the author analyzed state-owned forest ecosystem in Jianyang to the impact on regional ecological security. The results showed that: the total value of 8 state-owned forest ecosystem services in Jianyang was 14.7924×10⁸ yuan/a, the direct and indirect economic value was 2.6936×10⁸ yuan/a and 12.0988×10⁸ yuang/a respectively, the indirect economic value was as 4.49 times as the direct economic value. Among contribution of value of all ecosystem services, the order of value was below: protecting biodiversity＞air quality purifying＞C fixation and O2 release＞soil and water conservation＞timber product＞water storage＞recreation and ecotourism＞employment. State- owned forest ecosystem had great ecological and economic benefits, it played an irreplaceable role in maintenance of regional economic and social stability and ecological security etc, however, the ecosystem service functions had not fully utilized.
