Abstract: This experiment was conducted to study the effects of tea polyphenols and lactobacillus on physiological and blood biochemical indexes and intestinal microflora in broiler. Four hundred and eighty broilers were selected and randomized into eight groups, there were sixty broilers in each group which was consisted of six replicates, ten broilers were set in each replicate. Except for giving basic feed, the test groups were given lactobacillus and tea polyphenols by gavage while the control group was given sterile water under the same condition. The whole experiment lasted for 56 days. The results indicated that the highest final weight was the broilers in the test group which was fed with 1.0 [mL/(kg.bw)] lactobacillus plus 0.06 [g/(kg.bw)] polyphenol, and its average daily gain was the fastest, the average daily feed intake was the least, feed weight ratio was the lowest. The LDL, GLU, TG, CHO, HDL concentration of broilers in test groups were all decreased, which promote the growth of the dominate bacteria like lactobacillus and yeast and inhibit the multiplication of enterococcus in enteric canal. It gives the theoretical basis to the development of new products and feed additives.
