Progress of Molecular Marker Technology in the Application of Pepper Research

Abstract

Abstract: As an important tool for biological research, molecular markers played an important role in crop conventional breeding. In order to construct pepper marker- assisted selection system for achieving a combination of conventional breeding and modern biological techniques, great progress in pepper genetic diversity, genetic linkage map construction, marker-assisted selection and gene clone had been summarized. It showed that molecular marker used in pepper research was not well studied, basic information limitation and genetic linkage map rough. Many studies must be strengthened in new molecular maker developing, core cultivar bio-information bank construction and refined genetic linkage map construction.
