Pest Risk Assessment of Drosophila suzukii in Xinjiang

Abstract: Drosophila suzukii was one of the few important pests of fruit fly infestation mature fruit. In recent years, it has caused serious economic losses in worldwide, as the main port of westward and developing markets of west Asia and Europe, Xinjiang has no reports about it. The potential geographical distribution of D. suzukii in Xinjiang Region was studied in this paper. The results of CLIMEX presented that: D. suzukii had certain potential of occur and population establish in Ili, Wensu, Duancheng, Hejing and Wenquan Region. The GARP showed that the D. suzukii had potential suitable area in most part of northern and southern Xinjiang. A combination of the two methods found that Qapqal was the highly suitable area. According to the quantitative methods of the pest analysis, the risk level of D. suzukii to the different regions in Xinjiang was evaluated. The results showed that: D. suzukii was a highly dangerous pest to the fruits in Xinjiang and proposed to put it into Xinjiang supplement forest quarantine pest list.
