Abstract: Using mycoherbicides for control of weeds has great potential. The fungi with herbicidal acitivity are mostly focus on the fungus colletotrichum and other eight fungi. Now it has screened many herbicidal activity strains in the world. Control efficient of some strains are as well as chemical herbicides. But the difficulty of fermentation and formulation, the high host-specifity and other problems are limit its application in production. The application of mycoherbicide combine with low rates of herbicides or other fungi can overcome some limitations, improve the pathogenicity. In addition, the improvement of formulation, comprehensive utilization of pathogenic microbes and insect agents, especially strain improving by transgenic technology and DNA recombination technology have become hot research directions.
