Abstract: Rural recreation is implemented by developers with agricultural resources, rural environment and facilities for the purpose of satisfying recreationists’diversified recreational demands for sound mental and physical health as well as leisure and entertainment, etc. Rural recreational system is a whole composed of agricultural resources and rural environment, etc. with certain structures and functions. After summing up components of the rural recreational system, the author concluded that the system was made up of rural territorial recreational system, rural recreation behavior system, rural recreation supply system and rural recreation support system. Besides, components of spatial structure for rural recreation were analyzed and approaches to optimize functions of the rural recreation supply system were briefly introduced. At last, the author proposed that the construction of rural recreation facilities and service supply should be ecological and standard.
