Abstract: The stem and leaf of the Hypericum perforatum were used as explants, and cultured in basic MS medium supplemented with different kinds and concentrations of hormones. The callus, the buds and roots were induced, and cultivation of the tube seedling were carried out. Results have shown, the callus is easy to be induced when MS medium is supplemented with 2,4-D; MS medium supplemented with 6-BA 0.5 mg/L is most suitable for the formation of buds; MS medium supplemented with IBA 0.5 mg/L and NAA 0.5 mg/L, and MS with IBA 1.0 mg/L are effective in promoting the rooting of Hypericum perforatum.
