Typical Agriculture and Pastoral Area Rural Development Influencing Factors and Mode Selection: A Case Study of Wushen Banner, Erdos City of Inner Mongolia

Abstract: For sustainable development strategy implemented by China, agriculture and countryside are the foundation and the prior fields, face greatest challenge and difficulty. New rural development of agricultural and pastoral areas is an important constituent in new rural construction of China as well as a relatively weak link. Wushen Banner is the typical agricultural and pastoral area. Towns and Sumus in Wushen Banner have respective unique characteristics in aspects such as regional difference, functional dominance, development conditionality and the like, determining construction and development of new countryside. According to analysis on “three characteristics” of the towns and the sumus of Wushen Banner, main modes of new rural development of it are industrial enterprise leading mode, urban construction leading mode, modern agriculture leading mode, ecological animal husbandry leading mode, leisure tourism leading mode and professional market leading mode.
