Pro-poor Tourism Effects Study Base on Famer’s Perception: A Case Study of Longwan Village

Abstract: As a totally new type of poverty alleviation, pro-poor tourism is drawing attention world widely because of its spontaneity. On the basis of literature reading, this paper divided the causes of poverty into four parts and analyzed the remission or elimination degree created by development of tourism. With Longwan Village, Baiyin, Gansu Province as the study area, this paper showed that the pro-poor tourism comprehensive perception index was 3.33 by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Among which the economy promotion perception index was the highest (3.72); followed by right acceleration perception index (3.45), idea progress perception index was the third (3.31), and resources remedy index (3.15) was the last. After combined data analysis and field survey, this paper put forward several suggestions to support the local development of pro-poor tourism in a harmonious, stable, sustainable, reasonable way and to try to find a new way for the development of tourism style village.
