Research Advances on Breeding Technology of Rosa hybrida L.

Abstract: Rose breeding technology has made great progress in recent years and has achieved fruitful results. This paper aims to summarize research achievements and the characteristics of each breeding technologies (introduction breeding, hybridization breeding, bud sport breeding, mutation breeding, molecular breeding) of recent years. The author proposed the view of combining hybridization breeding technologies with molecular breeding techniques, paid attention to international exchanges to learn advanced technology and experience, studied of cellular and molecular biological mechanism for the development of the rose at the same time, so as to give some references for rose breeding and narrow the gap between domestic and high international research levels.
