Abstract: In order to choose the development strategy of recreational fishery in Zhejiang Province, so as to set an example for other regions in China, AHP-SWOT analysis method was used to analyze the internal strengths, internal weaknesses, external environmental opportunities and external environmental threats combined with the current status of recreational fishery development in Zhejiang Province. Analytic hierarchy process was also used to determine the recreational fishery development strategy mode. The results showed that the current recreational fishery development in Zhejiang Province should combine the reverse strategy and defensive strategy together. It finally came to the conclusion that the province should fully explore the potential market and increase the research level of recreational fishery, as well as take advantage of the good government policies in order to better promote the healthy and sustainable development of recreational fishery.
