Abstract: In order to make a scientific and rational grading standard for Ardisia corymbifera var. tuberifera seedlings, the correlation analysis and stepwise cluster analysis method were applied to establish the grading standard for 1-year-old seedlings of Ardisia corymbifera var. tuberifera. The ground diameter and plant height were chosen as the quality indicators for grading. The grading standard for the seedlings of Ardisia corymbifera var. tuberifera worked out as follows: ground diameter≥0.59 cm and plant height≥23.82 cm for grade I seedlings; 0.55 cm≤ ground diameter＜ 0.59 cm and 14.94 cm≤ plant height＜23.82 cm for grade II seedlings; ground diameter＜0.55 cm and plant height＜14.94 cm for grade III seedlings. It is feasible and reliable to use stepwise cluster analysis method to establish the grading standard for Ardisia corymbifera var. tuberifera seedlings.
