Abstract: The study aims to scientifically analyze and evaluate the change of investment trends in the temporal-spatial distribution of Xinjiang land consolidation projects and research the aggregation of the land consolidation investment in space exploration, and provide theoretical and practical basis for land consolidation investment. Based on the data of the land consolidation projects from 2001 to 2013 at the district or county-level in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regions, this article explores empirically land consolidation differences in time, space, and autocorrelation. The results showed that: during 2001-2013, the land consolidation activities in various areas of Xinjiang were carried out, the scale of construction, investment scale and the number of projects increased in a wave mode; land consolidation projects presented a strong spatial autocorrelation pattern and its diffusion effect gradually appeared. Based on the analysis of the results, the author suggested that Xinjiang should continue to focus on existing cultivated land and basic farmland rearrangement in the future 5-10 years, at the same time, investments in Xinjiang should take into consideration the balancing issues, so as to better promote the balanced development of Xinjiang Autonomous Regions.
