Summer Introduction Experiment of White Radish in Bijie City

Abstract: According to the status of white radish production in Bijie, different varieties were introduced in summer. The growth period, biological properties, marketability and quality of the nine introduced varieties were observed and compared. The results showed that ‘Tianqi’ owned the highest yield (89486.4 kg/hm2). The vitamin C content of ‘Tianqi’ was 140.27 mg/kg, soluble sugar was 12.77 mg/kg, and crude fiber was 6.33 mg/kg. The yield of ‘Hanchun’ was 88861.1 kg/hm2, and the vitamin C content was 119.90 mg/kg, soluble sugar was 11.83 mg/kg, and crude fiber was 6.20 mg/kg. ‘Baiyu’ owned the lowest yield (35259.3 kg/hm2). The vitamin C content of ‘Baiyu’ was 126.97 mg/kg, soluble sugar was 11.60 mg/kg, and crude fiber was 6.47 mg/kg. Both ‘Zhedachang’ and ’Deri’ had the whole growth period of 99 days, and the yield was 81148.9 and 80190.1 kg/hm2, respectively. ‘Tianqi’, ‘Hanchun’, ‘Zhedachang’ and ‘Deri’ were suitable for summer cultivation in Bijie City, and ‘Tianqi’ was the most suitable variety.
