Abstract: The aim was to study the primary and secondary relations between the yield and the other main agronomic traits of maize hybrids. In this paper, the grey correlative degree analysis was used to research the effects of eight agronomic traits on yield of 13 maize hybrids and the relationships among those traits. The results showed that the values of the correlation degree between yield and main agronomic traits among different varieties were sequenced as follows: net weight per ear>plant height>ear height> ear row number> KWEI> bare tip length>growth period> ear length. In the breeding practice, it should pay attention to net weight per ear, plant height and ear height, and give dual attention to other agronomic traits, which was an effective way to enhance the maize yield.
