Abstract: The communication function of Rural Journalism has so little discussed, although more of general Journalism, which hold back the development of rural news resources. The paper discusses the communication functions of Rural Journalism from both organization aspects and society aspects. Including: information communication, explaining and dredges, guiding, anti-poverty and its influences on regulation and control with rural public opinion, the idea “upgrade” of peasant, the push of rural politics development, the promotion of rural economics, the transition of rural culture etc。
