Abstract: The lethal effect of three different pesticides on two Aedes albopictus strains was explored in this study. The resistance was compared and studied. At the condition of (26.3±1.0)℃ and relative humidity of (65.0±10.0)%, the medium lethal concentration (LC50) and resistance ratios of beta-cypermethrin, dichlorvos, propoxur on susceptible-strain and wild-strain A. albopictus in 24 hours were measured by dipping method. The results showed that the LC50 of beta cypermethrin in 24 hours on susceptible-strain and wild-strain A. albopictus was 0.0073 mg/L and 0.0189 mg/L, respectively. The LC50 of dichlorvos was 0.2062 mg/L and 0.5115 mg/L, respectively. The LC50 of propoxur was 3.5987 mg/L and 1.6796 mg/L, respectively. In resistance detection test, propoxur showed a resistance ratio of 2.1, the lowest compared with the other two pesticides, with beta cypermethrin and dichlorvos showing 2.6 and 2.5 of resistance ratio, respectively. Based on lethal and accumulation effects of pesticides, it is concluded that the three pesticides all show low drug resistance and beta cypermethrin presents the best lethal effect while propoxur the lowest drug resistance.
