Abstract: The effects of different varieties of flue-cured tobacco on tobacco aphids [Myzus persicae (sulzer)] in Longyan was carried out from February to June in 2014. The result of the study showed winged tobacco aphids started to fly into tobacco fields in the first ten-day period of April. It is a fastigium in between the third ten-day period of April and the second ten-day period of May for tobacco aphids. Additionally, two fastigiums, bimodal curve, of tobacco aphids were also found. And the numbers of aphids rapidly declined in the third ten-day period of May and the first ten-day period of June. It was significantly correlative in between the temperatures of micro-climate in tobacco fields and the winged aphid densities or some winged aphid plant rates of Minyan 35 plants or the densities of mummy of Yunyan 87. Besides, it was significantly different for tobacco densities, some aphid plant rates, no-winged or mummy densities in tobacco fields. Especially, it was coherent between early spring tobacco group and spring tobacco group for the difference of mummy densities. Thus, it suggests the effects of aphids, winged aphids or mummy in tobacco fields depend on different varieties of flue-cured tobacco in Longyan. And it benefits to the seed selection of anti-aphid varieties and the control of tobacco aphids and the diseases by the transmission of them in tobacco fields.
