Abstract: Plasma treatments at the dosage of 0.5A×2~2A×2 on Maize seed were carried out in Huadian county Jilin province in 2004. Dry matters were sampled and chemical analyzed in shooting and maturity stage and yield estimation was taken before maturity. The result showed that plasma treatments at the dosage of 1.0A×2 and 1.5A×2 could increase nutrient uptake and fertilizer use efficiency on maize seed. The total fertilizer of N+P2O5+K2O was increased by above 10% compared to the control. The N and P and K use efficiency was enhanced by 7.4%~8.2%, 11.3%19.7% and 15.7%~23.5%, respectively. It was clarified that plasma treatments at the dosage of 1.0A×2 could increase yield significantly by 8.2%.
