Abstract: In order to know the morphological of early development of Barbus capito, the larval was sampled to observed and study. The result showed that: the total body length of the newly hatched larvae ranged 6.80～7.26mm; the anus was not open, the larvae relied on their yolk for mourishment. The larvae was fed at 3 days old, and the yolk was exhausted at 9 days old. All fins complete appeared at 19 days old. With all fin rays completely developed and the scale covered the whole body of larvae at 55 days old, which meant the beginning of young fish stage. The growth curves model was: L=0.747t+6.168(R2=0.977). The correlation equation of weight and body length was: W=0.003L3.346(R2=0.997). The study advanced knowledge of the early stages of seed breeding of Barbus capito.
